Our gite is close to sandy
beaches (only 8km), and ideally placed for visiting Mont St Michel, Bayeux, and
the Landing Beaches, or house hunting in the cotentin area. The attractive
market towns of La Haye du Puits and Portbail, 2km and 12km away, have all the
shops you need, including three supermarkets and good butchers, bakers and other independent shops. If you are a fan of French street
markets there is one available every day within easy driving distance (Portbail Tuesday, La Haye du Puits Wednesday). There are
many fetes, fairs and festivals during the year, or you might just want to enjoy
the quietness & beauty of the surrounding countryside.
La Croix Verte is a recently converted traditional Cotentin stone cottage in the longere style, in a peaceful and private location overlooking the Normandy landscape. Newly refurbished to a high standard it can comfortably accommodate 6 people, and has a cot for babies/toddlers. The garden is spacios and enclosed.
